The notion of opening a Maison De Couture dates back to 1986 when the creative director led and acted as the chef d’atelier for a knitting factory that was owned by her family. Loving all things fashion, Hala remained in her position for 10 executive years.

Hala joined Esmod School of Design and pursued a degree in Fashion Design – specializing in Couture, Ready to Wear, Lingerie, and Children wear. Hala was offered and took on a job as a pattern making professor for 8 years with Esmod Paris, Norway, China and Lebanon.

Throughout her career, Hala Debs worked closely with the Creative Director of the renowned leather Spanish brand Loewe, Jose Enrique Onaselsa. She created a full collection with the Creative Director of Thierry Mugler, Dominique Barsacq and assisted Nils Ihlen Hansen who is the owner of Esmod Norway and the only draping teacher that taught the old technique of draping.

Feeling the need to move back to her hometown, Lebanon, Hala Debs created her very first couture collection in her beautifully minimalist designed showroom. Hala Debs opened its doors in Lebanon on January 2012.
